A long-anticipated low-cost transit service for Carroll County launched their long-anticipated low-cost transit services on July 2. They now provide one-way or round-trip transportation for county residents to any location within the county. Partnering with the Three Rivers Regional Commission, the program is primarily federally funded through a rural transportation grant. This new “door-to-door” (instead of a mass-transit) service will be available Monday through Friday, except holidays and there are no set routes; travel is determined by the needs of the day.
QRyde is delighted to take part in Carroll’s ability to provide this service to their citizen – which is similar to others operated in most counties in the state – and looks forward to taking part in similar initiatives in Georgia and beyond, in the future.
