Georgia Transit Association 2019 Conference

The Georgia Transit Association held their 2019 Conference this year from December 2-4 on Jekyll Island in GA. The theme was “Empowering Georgia Communities” as the GTA is the voice for transit in the state of Georgia working to advance the policies and priorities of its rural and urban transit entities. They also provide a forum for the exchange of information, ideas and experiences, and work toward securing adequate and stable funds for public transit.

From QRyde, Cornelius Beasley, Vikash Kamar, and Matt Arsenault attended the Welcome Reception on Wednesday night and had the opportunity to mingle with current provides. Great discussion ensued as to how QRyde was working for them, as well as what we could do to improve in the future.  Regina Abbot (member of GTA) was one of the participants in this conversation, she expressed that she would love to see more QRyde presence in Georgia.  She loves the work we are doing and would like to see more of us in the State!

On Thursday afternoon,  Cornelius, Matt, and Vikash had the opportunity to show off the the new QRyde Fare Card to conference participants.  They also met with providers that are thinking about converting to QRyde.  That evening, all participants enjoyed a Casino Night and Down on the Bayou dinner buffet provided by Platinum Sponsors.  As a gold sponsor, QRyde/HBSS was was to proud to host the refreshment break during the 3:30-4:00pm session.
